Old Fire Station<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time to loosen up and try this exciting Workshop. Working on Watercolour Canvas will have your creative juices flowing.<\/p>\n<p>This unique surface will allow you space to explore your imagination with the subject of your choice. No mistakes that can&#8217;t be removed with a damp cloth, no losing your whites and no cauliflowers.<\/p>\n<p>There is nothing else that will keep you totally absorbed as painting on WC Canvas and to give you a feeling of total exploration and excitement.<\/p>\n<p>With all the tricks and techniques that Julie will demonstrate, you will be amazed at the results you can create. Using watercolour methods and techniques you will create a loose impression of your subjects.<\/p>\n<p>This will help you loosen up and create your own individual marks. Julie will show you by demonstrating how to begin plus the following stages.<\/p>\n<p>This will be combined with choosing your correct brushes to paint and soften edges where needed, to create the look you&#8217;re after.<\/p>\n<p>All elements of design will be covered with every new subject. Improve your colour mixing skills using a Limited Palette. Glazing techniques will be shown and used plus Framing and<\/p>\n<p>Varnishing tips. Continuous Demo to watch as you tackle a variety of subjects. You are also welcome to use your own subject matter if it suitable. You will come to appreciate the nuances of different species of blooms by drawing and painting them from all angles.<br \/>\nWe will be painting two aspects, one, view of blooms growing in the garden and two, picked real flowers in a vase displayed like a Still life arranged on the floor in the studio. You will have a view of looking from above, which will create a more interesting composition.<br \/>\nYou will be drawing up some thumbnail sketches, with both methods so that you can choose the most pleasing composition to paint. Julie will show you every step by demonstration of how to do your thumbnails and then scale up to chosen paper size for your paintings. Before Covid hit, over the last ten years, has travelled interstate to Queensland, South Australia, NSW, Western Australia, as well as City and Country Victoria, where she resides.
